How to Join Us

If you are interested in the local history of Breconshire, or you have family connections in the area, we would love to welcome you to our society.

We are a group of enthusiastic and knowledgeable people who share a common interest in Breconshire.  Membership of our group will provide you with the following benefits:

• Monthly Meetings on a range of subjects related to the area
  
  
• Free Quarterly Newsletters
  
  
• Access to the Member's content of our website including transcriptions of Parish Records, Monumental Inscriptions, Maps of the Area, recordings of previous monthly meetings, back issues of the Newsletter and many other interesting and useful resources.

If you'd like to get involved with the society we are keen to recruit volunteers to help with transcription and research projects.  You do not need to be local to Brecon in order to be fully involved in the society.

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December and costs £8.00.  Anyone joining after 1st August 2024 can pay £4.00 to the end of the year.

Methods of Payment

Please make your cheque payable to the Breconshire Local & Family History Society.

At present we can only accept payment in British pounds sterling. If you live overseas, please mail your payment to us either in the form of an International Money Order, or in cash (sterling).
