Prosser, Harris, and Barrett of Glasbury

A lady with Glasbury connections wishes to trace any living relatives who are connected with her family tree. If you can help or know of anyone researching the families PROSSERHARRIS or BARRETT of Glasbury, she would be most grateful to hear from you.

Main details:

In 1899, James PROSSER married Elizabeth (Eliza) LEWIS in Hay. Their children were Arthur born 1898, Reginald born 1900, Ivor born 1902 (all born in Glasbury), William born 1904 (born in Wilton) and George born 1909 (born Llannarth).

James PROSSER was illegitimate, registered as James Pritchard PROSSER and was christened in Llanstephan (RAD) near Glasbury in 1875.

James's mother was Margaret PROSSER who married a William BARRETT in 1879 at a Baptist Chapel in Glasbury.

On the 1881 and 1891 censuses James PROSSER appears as James BARRETT. In 1891 he is with a James HARRIS, grand nephew to a Winifred HARRIS who married a William PROSSER.

As yet no direct family link has been established. In subsequent censuses he changes his name back to James PROSSER.
